Slurry pump model 8/6

Slurry pumps are heavy-duty centrifugal pumps designed for continuous pumping of highly abrasive, high-density slurries. They are widely used in mining, minerals processing, coal preparation, dredging, metallurgy, power plants, chemical industries, and general industrial applications

Models: 1.5/1, 3/2, 6/4, 8/6, 10/8, 12/10

Slurry pumps are heavy-duty centrifugal pumps designed for continuous pumping of highly abrasive, high-density slurries. They are widely used in mining, minerals processing, coal preparation, dredging, metallurgy, power plants, chemical industries, and general industrial applications.

    Material
The wetted parts are made from a variety of materials to suit different applications. These include high abrasion and corrosion-resistant alloys, rubber, and polyurethane. The pump casing is typically made from ductile iron, providing high operating pressure capabilities and an extra measure of safety.

    Function
These pumps feature large, open internal passages and large-diameter, slow-turning, high-efficiency impellers that reduce internal velocities, maximize wear life, and lower operating costs. They also have minimal shaft/impeller overhang, which reduces shaft deflection and load on the bearings, thereby increasing the packing life of the pump.

    Advantages
    - Long Wear and Service Life: The use of durable materials and designs, such as the cartridge-style bearing assembly, ensures prolonged bearing life and reduced maintenance.
    - Efficient and Cost-Effective: The patented WRT® impeller and throatbush combination enhances efficiency, reduces power consumption, and lowers overall operating costs.
    - Low Operating Costs: The effective expeller prolongs packing life and reduces or eliminates flush water requirements, making the pump suitable for water-scarce environments.
    - Ease of Maintenance: The thick elastomer or alloy bolt-in liners are easily replaceable, and the pump’s heavy-duty construction allows for straightforward maintenance and reduced downtime.
    - Safety: The outer casing acts as secondary containment in case of liner wear-out, preventing catastrophic failure and ensuring worker safety.

The slurry pumps are designed to handle a wide range of slurries, including those with high abrasiveness and corrosiveness, making them versatile and reliable for various industrial applications.
