OEM Casting CD4MCUN

CD4MCuN (also designated as CD-4MCuN, A890 1B, or 0Cr26Ni5Mo2Cu3) is a cast duplex stainless steel. Its production primarily involves precision casting following the melting process, followed by solution treatment to achieve the characteristic duplex microstructure.

CD4MCuN castings are primarily used in operating environments characterized by severe corrosion, high erosion, and the presence of chloride ions. Key applications include pumps and valves, particularly their wetted parts. Classified as a cast duplex stainless steel (corresponding to ASTM A890/A995 Grade 1B), the material offers a combination of high strength and corrosion resistance.

    *   **Pump and Valve Equipment:** Typical applications include impellers, casings, covers, and wear rings for chemical centrifugal pumps, slurry pumps, and desulfurization slurry pumps; as well as various valve bodies, discs, and seats. It is particularly well-suited for seawater or acidic slurry pipelines.

    *   **Chemical and Petroleum Refining:** Corrosion-resistant equipment and piping for handling strong acids, alkalis, and salt solutions; valves and pump bodies for oil and gas wellheads and refining units, offering resistance to sulfide stress corrosion cracking.

    *   **Marine Engineering:** Seawater desalination equipment, marine fittings, and offshore platform structural components; resistant to seawater erosion and chloride ion corrosion.

    *   **Environmental Protection and Energy:** Flue gas desulfurization (FGD) absorber internals and slurry circulation systems; corrosion-resistant structural components for the power industry.

    *   **Other Applications:** Agitators and elbows for hydrometallurgy and salt brine systems; preheaters for pulping/digesting equipment in the paper industry, etc.
