When the vacuum pump operates continuously at suction pressures below 80 mbar(a), a cavitation protection pipe should be connected to safeguard the pump. With an atmospheric ejector, suction pressure can reach 10 mbar(a), and the ejector can be mounted directly onto the vacuum pump.
