Functionality & Integration
The FLS10 works in conjunction with the MiniCAS II supervision relay, which monitors current levels and triggers leakage alarms when resistance drops below the threshold. Unlike stator-housing sensors (FLS), the FLS10 detects intrusion in the inspection chamber—a less critical zone that typically triggers alarms without automatic pump shutdown, allowing operators to assess the situation. For explosion-proof installations, it's approved for use with thermal switches in Ex-certified pumps.
Installation & Testing
The sensor connects via two-wire, polarity-independent leads to the MiniCAS II relay. Testing can be performed with a standard ohmmeter—resistance should read approximately 1,200 Ω in dry conditions and drop to ~430 Ω when activated. Never apply more than 14 V DC to avoid sensor damage.
