Flygt insertion ring
Self-cleaning impeller
The back-swept leading edges of the impeller, in
combination with the relief groove in the insert ring,
provide self-cleaning performance and continuous
trouble-free pumping.
Well-balanced design
The unique two- or three-bladed impeller design minimizes
radial forces, thus reducing bearing loads and minimizing
the risk of vibrations and hydraulic imbalance.
Cutting groove
A close gap and an induction-hardened cutting
groove between the impeller and the seal housing
cover prevent objects from entering the space
above the impeller, thereby reducing
the risk of seal failures.
Resistant materials
Gray cast iron, with induction-hardened edges on the
impeller vanes, provides exceptional wear resistance
and long lifetime. Optional Hard-Iron(™), a unique
alloy with superior hardness (HRC 60) and 25%
chrome content, is available for the toughest
wastewater challenges.
