    Introduction

    Taking the cylindrical coil spring as an example, the following issues should be paid attention to in the design of elastic elements:

    (1) Spring pressure: The spring specific pressure should be correctly selected according to the specific working conditions and uses.

    (2) Spring material: Not only strength and elasticity should be considered when selecting, but corrosion and fatigue properties should also be considered.

    (3) When the shaft diameter is less than 70mm, a large concentrated spring can be used (in order to shorten the axial distance, generally only a spring with a small number of turns and a large pitch is used to make the spring pressure uniform and not affected by centrifugal force, and a large shaft diameter can be used. The small springs are evenly distributed at multiple points in the circumferential direction.

    (4) Both ends of the spring must be perpendicular to the axis. Make sure that the bearing surface is perpendicular to the center line, so that the spring force of the spring is uniform.

     (5) The working compression of the spring should be 2/3~3/4 of the limit compression.

     (6) When the soft ring grinding table is completely worn, the spring specific pressure should not change much. The rule of thumb requires that the spring specific pressure should not be reduced by more than 18% to 20% at this time.

    (7) In order to ensure that the spring force does not decrease much when the softer ring is worn, the single spring adopts a spring with a small number of turns and a large pitch.

    (8) When using parallel spring transmission, attention should be paid to the rotation of the spring and the steering coordination of the shaft. Looking at the spring from the stationary seat side, the right-handed spring should be used when the pump shaft is turned to the right; the left-handed spring should be used when the pump shaft is turned to the left.

     

    (9) When spring-loaded push-ring seals are used, and it should be noted that with the increase of medium pressure, the load factor (area ratio) of the seal decreases.

    (10) When the diameter-length ratio of the cylindrical small coil spring is too small, the stability may be lost because the spring flexibility exceeds the limit value.Copensated measure is to ensure that each small spring can be sleeved on the guide pin.
